What is Revl FilmFest

 
 

Revl FilmFest is formed by a collective of seasoned film and music industry professionals looking to find and showcase new talent as well as award the creativity of filmmakers behind artistic and innovative works that often get overlooked. 

 
 

How it works

Films Compete In Two Phases.

 

PHASE ONE:

Every yearly quarter our curators will review and rate the submissions, starting with the films that have submitted to the Fall Deadline to select short films and music videos for our online screening to compete for the second phase of the festival.

PHASE TWO:

Winners of each quarterly online screening will then be showcased and compete for awards and prizes at the annual live event in Los Angeles in September 2020, with special attendance by music and film industry agents and executives.

 
 

QUARTELY ONLINE SCREENINGS

 
 

Each quarterly online screening will be held on our new Youtube Channel platform as a way of building a broader and more inclusive festival community as opposed to typical festivals which usually cater to specific audiences. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT IF YOUR FILM CANNOT BE SHOWN ONLINE.

This is a major opportunity for new and experienced filmmakers to gain exposure and awareness of their content in the Los Angeles market while also building their online presence through a platform backed by producers and companies who are constantly looking for talented creators.

PHASE ONE

  • Advancement to the PHASE TWO.

  • Digital Printable Certificate Award and Laurel.

  • Attendance Invitation Annual Live Event in Los Angeles.

PHASE TWO

  • VIP Admission to Annual Live Event in Los Angeles, California.

  • Finalist Prizes.
    ( such as Cash, Industry Equipment, etc. )

  • Live Screening of Nominated Title For Attending Audience.
    ( All Music Artists featured in the winning Best Music Video Category are invited to play live. )

 
 

RULES & TERMS

 

SUBMISSION FORMAT

Films and Music Videos must be submitted via online screener on FilmFreeway.

 

ELIGIBILITY

All Genres Are Accepted.
- All Submissions Must Have Been Completed After 1 January 2014.
- There Is No Premiere Policy.
- Works-In-Progress Are Accepted.
- International Submissions Will Be Accepted, But All Non-English Foreign Language Films Must Have English Subtitles.

 

VIDEO DURATION

SHORT FILMS

Minimum: 2 min
Maximum: 16 min

MUSIC VIDEOS

Minimum: 2 min
Maximum: 6 min

 

SCREENING DURATION

All Selected Short Films & Music Videos Will Be Available On The Youtube Channel For Undetermined Time. Voting and Judging Will Be Closed At 12am PST of The Third and Last Day of The Festival.

All Submitters With Selected Titles Will be Informed Via Email And Listed On The Festival's Website.

 

SUBMISSION FEE

Each entry will be accompanied by non-refundable fees.

 

COPYRIGHTS

By submitting your film to our festival you agree that your piece of work (full film or music video) can be uploaded on the festival's Youtube Channel, embed on our website and showcased to physical and online audiences. The filmmaker/institution that is submitting the film or music video must own the rights to do so and is responsible for the content they are providing. By submitting, the filmmaker allows REVL Film Fest to create a page for their film or music video without infringing the copyright of any kind of form. Filmmakers can make a request to remove the film link at any time.

 

DISCLAIMER

The applicant agrees to have read and accepted the rules & regulations for participation in the REVL Film Fest. The applicant confirms that he/she has the requisite authority or has obtained the requisite authority from the producer/right holder to enter this film in the REVL Film Fest and make available the print for screening. Under NO circumstance, the authorities of REVL Film Fest will entertain or be answerable to anyone else apart from the applicant.
